“We used to give piglets 7 things during in farrowing house, such as artificial colostrum, an electrolyte solution, a vitamin solution, a protein drink, antibiotics and an anticoccidial drug. The piglets still suffered; they got diarrhea, experienced late recovery, weakening the small pigs and even some died from PED. The pre-weaning mortality rate at that point jumped to 30-50%. When we started giving Tonisity Px to them, they recovered from the diarrhea very quickly! After 2-3 days, the pre-weaning mortality was reduced to less than 10%. The piglets are stronger, eat feed earlier, and increased their weaning weight by 0.3 kg on average. In addition, the heavier piglets became even stronger, providing an easier transition through weaning. We were even able to reduce the fattening period by 1-2 weeks! Now, we give only anticoccidial drug and Tonisity Px to the piglets which has reduced our medication cost and labor effort. So far, we have used Tonisity Px for one year and will continue to use it.”

“I included Tonisity Px in my booster mash and lactating mash, and feed intake has increased dramatically. Pigs were voracious! It greatly enhanced feed intake of the pigs. It looks like they are addicted. Before I was using plasma protein for this purpose but after the ASF, the price has gone too high and I cannot source it. But now with Tonisity, it is much better. I give to all the sows at farrowing mixed in the feed. From the average of 2.5 to 3kg per day, it went up to 4kg (the average is lower as it is average starting from one week before farrowing through lactation). I also use it on pigs in the breeding section that go off feed due to respiratory infection, for 3 to 7 days until full recovery and sows crave for more feed. I am also planning to add it to the starter diet. Also, I tried during the water medication where typically I use milk byproduct and sugar, I added Tonisity on top of them and the consumption has gone by more than 3 times. I give this medication at weaning time up to 18 days to nursery, especially when sows have problems giving enough milk. Feed and medicated drink is easily consumed. My experiment was worth trying. It added cost but well compensated. Reduced weaning lag to almost zero and no thin nursing sows. Great product!”

“We started using the Tonisity Total Programmme at the request of our breeder. We first tested it on 150 piglets in May 2019 and we’ve been using it for all piglets since October 2019. The initial goal was to have more consistent batches and heavier animals. We distribute Tonisity Px from the second to the eighth day of life of the piglets and in the three days before weaning, which is carried out at 21 days. I take over at receiving piglets for four days. I continue using Tonisity Px in the form of gruel (mixing of the product with the granules) in scoops because I prefer that to mixing with water. Considering the palatability of the product, I think it encourages piglets to drink more but not necessarily to eat. I distribute the gruel four times in the first two days, then twice a day thereafter. I note that it is quickly consumed and that it encourages piglets to eat. The only drawback is it increases my workload. However, I observe fewer diarrhea problems and more dynamic piglets. Weaning weights are not necessarily better, but it is also because there are less mortality: small piglets, which previously would have died, survive. I have just had the first batch cut which received the whole programme. Regarding my results, compared to the last batch without Tonisity, my weaning-selling feed conversion rate went from 2.45 to 2.32. Animals gained an average of 2.5kg between weaning and slaughter for the same slaughter age and my weaning-selling loss rate went from 5.2 to 1.9%. I calculated that the return on investment, in my case, was €5 for one euro invested.”

“Tonisity Px is a good product, especially because it significantly reduces pre-weaning mortality. In our trial, the pre-weaning mortality went from 5.35% for the control group, down to 1.43%. Tonisity Px also stimulates the appetite of piglets. We see that they have better immunity, and the absorbability is better. We were able to increase the weaning weight at 23 days by 300 grams per pig. After weaning, in nursery, we observed that Tonisity Px helped to reduce stress. “I have been using Tonisity products since December 2019. I can clearly see that my piglets are more vivid and energetic. After I started to use Tonisity Px my pre-weaning mortality decreased significantly. On average, I have 0.5 piglets more per sow per litter.
